Invitation to attend the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) 2008 Opening Ceremony on 27/6/2008
Dear Guides,

We hope you have had a restful break so far! =)

For your information, the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) 2008 Opening Ceremony will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Friday 27 June 2008 at 7.30 pm. The Guest-of-Honour for the event is our Minister for Education, Dr Ng Eng Hen. The Opening Ceremony will herald the start of SYF 2008, a month-long celebration of youthful verve and energy with performances by thousands of students throughout the month of July.

An invitation has been to our school to join in the festivities of the Opening Ceremony. As there are limited seats available, each school may send a maximum of 80 students (from different CCAs) to the Opening Ceremony on a first come first served basis. The Opening Ceremony is expected to end at approximately 9 pm.

If you wish to be an audience to lend your support to your fellow Guides and/or schoolmates who are involved in the Opening Ceremony, please send an sms to me by this Wednesday 11 June 2008, 5pm with your name and indicate "SYF".

Please share this announcement with your fellow guides, patrol members or otherwise.

Thank you for your attention!

Mrs Tan
