URGENT NYAA meeting on Monday 1 Dec, 8.30am outside Staffroom
Hi! This announcement goes out to the Sec 3s:

I have not received ALL the NYAA booklets. I'll be submitting whatever I have tomorrow and shall leave school at 10am. I need your completed booklets (with photograph and proper journaling) by then.

However, because I have a meeting at 9am, I'll need the Sec 3 guides to report to school (the TABLE OUTSIDE STAFFROOM) at 8.30am (for a short half an hour) on MONDAY 1 DEC so that I can go through your journal entries and verify the data with you.

It is very important that you write accurate journal entries. "Once the NYAA Council certifies that all activities have been completed and endorsed by the respective Operating Authorities, you will be invited to an Award Presentation Ceremony to receive your Award. The Gold Award is usually presented by the President of the Republic of Singapore. Bronze and Silver Awards are typically presented by a Minister.

The Ministry of Education awards Co-Curricular Activity bonus points to all students who have achieved the National Youth Achievement Award, which can aid in admission to polytechnics and universities."

If your parents are curious about what you are doing, explain to them patiently using information in the NYAA website. http://www.nyaa.org/

Thanks!

Mrs Tan

Zhenghua Openhouse 2008
This year's Openhouse is slightly different from the past. It's more like a carnival style. Girl Guides will be setting up the "Picture Perfect" booth, something we have done in our own Guides Carnival at @scape Park.

I heard that not many of our Guides have indicated their commitment for these two days, please do so cos' we must all play a part in helping to promote our school.

So can I have more response from all of you? Thanks.

About De Salle Brownies Pack Holiday
Hi girls,

Here's some updates about this Outreach Programme we have agreed to help out in.

Our proposed schedule for them on the 25th November 2008
0700 P.T
0730 Wash up & breakfast
0830 Briefing & Ice-breaker games
0930 Simple Outdoor Cooking
1230  Brownies Challenge
1630  Cleaning up & rest
1730  Campfire
1900 Cleaning up

They have invited Mdm Koh Ting Ting, Brownie Branch Commissioner to their camp, and this means that we have to really make sure that we must live up to our standard.

I want to meet up with those who have volunteered to help on the 19th November at 0900, we have to discuss about the activities in details.

Please pass this message around. Thanks and see you all soon.

Ms Tay

The teachers would like to thank all who participated in the Camp. We hope you enjoyed it. And, most of all, we hope you have learnt something from the camp. Finally, thank you Camp Committee, for your service in the camp, for the hours you put in preparing the logistics and other stuff and for being a great sport.

Finally, group photos...
